About the artist

Kristoffer Kullengren (b. 1979, Sweden) is a fine-art painter whose work moves between the raw landscapes of Baja California and the international language of contemporary painting.

After formative studies at SOAS, University of London, Kullengren developed a practice that spans more than two decades and twenty solo exhibitions across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His paintings have been acquired by private and corporate collections, and he has partnered with global brands including BMW, IKEA, and Mizuno on commissioned works and creative collaborations.

Today his studio sits between the desert and the Sea of Cortez in Los Cabos, Mexico. The light there — sharp, salt-tinged, and generous — has become a central subject. Whether working on canvas, paper, or site-specific murals, he distils place into colour and mood, letting each piece carry the memory of where it was made.

Baja Brushwork is the direct channel between that studio and the people who live with the work. Every painting here is original, available for enquiry, and can be previewed on your own wall before a conversation begins.
